Lac qui Parle Valley recieved funding in 1997 for a 120 foot wind generator. It was purchased from Micon Industries of Marshall Minnesota. Micon was in charge of all the contracting of the generator. The generator does not supply all the schools energy, but will supply 1/3 of it. The generator will take ten years before it has paid for itself. LqPV is the first Minnesota public school to recieve a government funded generator. LqPV is proud to take part in acessing different energy sources to help for a better world.
